About Me:: I shot 35mm from 1972-2002 when ALL my gear was stolen. Nothing fancy - a bag full of Olympus OM-1, OM2, and bunch of unmatched lenses - all bought 2nd hand and, some used by me, for more than 20 years. Plus, there were 2 cute pocket cameras; an Olympus XA, and an XA2 (I think). I was most upset by the fact there were 12 unprocessed rolls of film in the bag - the insurance more than compensated for my actual financial loss.

To cut to the chase, I finally went digital with the first Sony DSC-F828 and loved it, but I am now moving up and have just purchased a D300 with the 18-200mm VR. I've had it for a few weeks, but I've been busy finishing a Masters degree (not bad for 54) and today was the first time that I actually "played" with this toy (workhorse). I think I'm in love!
