Bags?

We've covered what lenses you want for your D300. How about what bag you plan on using?
Latley, I'm using Think Tank Photo bags alot more. For hiking, my D300 will be in my Airport Acceleration backpack. I also like using their Pro Modulus belt system. For "normal" carry, I'll stll be using a LowePro Stealth Reporter shoulder bag.

I've just ordered the Tamrac Velocity 9 sling bag. I orginally ordered the Velocily 8 but found it to be too small for a second body. The 9 enables me to carry my D300 with VR 70-200mm attached in the center and also two of the other VR lenses which are ordered. Also the D70 for backup and external flash, and lots of other essentials.
Until now I've carried a bag I had made in Korea which has more than fit the bill. The thing I like about the Volocity bags is the ability to attach devices on the exterior and to be able to swing the bag to your front to access gear.

Tks for that Lea. I've been using my new Tamrac Velocity 8 for a few days now and I love it.

Glad to hear you are happy with the Velocity 8, what gear have you fit into this bag?

I have to cancel my membership in the "bag-of-the-month" club. Since I started this post, I've bought the Think Tank Photo "Rotation 360" pack.

I use the Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus AW. I travel quite often and this bag is great for carrying my two necessities: 17" Dell Laptop and my D300. I am a big guy (6'6") and this bag fits me perfectly.

Hi Lea ,
My tamarac velocity 8 carries my d300 body with the 18-200 vr attatched. They seem to be custom made for each other.
