ML-3 Wireless Remote

I've got a problem. When I got my D300 I also purchased the ML- 3 Remote. It came with no directions. I can't seem to find any anywhere, and I haven't been able to get it to work. Do any of you use the ML-3, if so I could use info on how to do it.

Thanks

If you take a look at the following link at Nikonians:- http://www.nikonians.org/forums/dcboard.php?az=set_threaded_mode&am...
It dosen't exactly give you instructions on the ML-3 but it will point you in the right direction. I think there are a lot of people like yourself who received the unit without instructions. If the link dosen't work, go to Nikonians and put ML-3 instructions into their search facility, you should only get about 17 hits.

Thanks a lot Ken. I'll give it a try.

You were correct that they didn't really provide the instruction. I finally gave up and called Nikon customer service, and the unit is working fine now. It doesn't respond when the remote control is directly behind the camera. It'll work fine if the remote is on either side, or in front, of the camera body. That seems a bit strange, but I can live with it.

Thanks again.

I've been using it for a couple of days now, and it seems to be working just fine. There doesn't seem to be a problem using it on the D300.

I don't want to be a pain, but whoever wrote that article is totally wrong. The ML-3 uses both auto and manual focus.

Yes. I had to go over and try it before I sent that note to you, because I had been using manual focus of flowers before that, but yes, it worked fine.

No problem. You helped me to get better involved with the ML-3. I'm now very comfortable with it. Thanks.

Try this link, should bring up Nikon support page for ML3.

Or see attached pdf I printed for you.

Thanks for the info, but both references are for the ML-L3 Remote Control. There is also the ML-3 that I bought. They are two different units. Mine is working fine with my D300.
