Thanks for the advice. Like I commented to Grant, I left Active D-Lighting on as a default and I did notice the speed was dramatically hindered. Would adding a power grip help at all? I have contemplating adding one to my outfit but benefits don't out-weigh the cost yet. Thanks for the advice! Paul

D300 body (of course!) 18-70mm, 55-200mm ,70-300mm - all G series;
180mm 2,8, 105mm 2.5 macro, 85mm 1.8, 55mm 1.4, 24mm 2.8
F5 (I'll never give up film), Also use a Linhof Technika 70 with a 6X7 back for medium format and a ton other cameras and gear. I use a speedotron brown line for studio, and always carry my SB-800 strobe with me in my bag.
