That SD cable sounds very cool. Would be very handy if your taking nothing but the same portraits for a while. Let me know if you find out what the name fo the cable.
I think I found my problem. In the menu under custom settings then e1-flash sync speed. Mine was set at 1/320 but it should of been set at 1/250 to get the right exposure. Hope that helps anyone else with this problem.
Hello, all of the setting will depend on where your shooting. I set the SB800's to remote and control them from the D300. Just take some test shots and it will be fine. About the height and how far .. again .. all depends on the area and location....
Are you using umbrellas with the flash units? I have 2 sb800s that I use on light stands with umbrellas and it works nice... Sometimes tho the photos are over exposed or under exposed but I think that is either the camera or sb800... or even both ...
