I just got my camera after using point and shoot digital camera and i would like to get some advice. I would like to know the Ideal shutter speed and Aperture for indoor, landscape, sunny day, portrait shooting. I am still experimenting with the camera.
For me im always using Aperture mode for outdoor coz depth of field are important specially landscape, speed mode for sports or birds coz need to get 250 to 300 per second to freeze the moving object and for portrait using im using program or manual to get the correct exposure sometimes i use Aperture if i want the shallow depth of field for background. hope this help thanx
Hi Hogan, I bought my D300 last year and didn't have a clue what to do with all those dials and knobs! I struggled a lot till I came across Ken Rockwell's idiot's guide to the D300. Click on the following, I'm sure you will find his guide a great help - I certainly did!
