Classic and Custom Cars

Restoring and showing Classic and Vintage '55 to '66 Ford Tbirds is another passion I have. Capturing images of Classic Cars via private photo commissions, for fellow motorheads, helps me to appreciate the caliber of the work car efficiantoes have for their rides. My clients wish to have their works of art featured to properiety. Photos are taken at places of their choosing, public displays, car shows and on the road… Continue

Looking forward to my D300!

For a long time now, since I first read about the release of D300, I've been saving up to get this.....
At last, the time is here! This will be like Cristmas to me; a D300 with Nikkor 12-24 and 18-200 is on it's way! And some additional equipment.
Can't wait to hold it and feel it ......

And now I can pass on my Fuji S5500 to my son.

I hope for a new era in photography .....

Phottix Cleon Wired / Wireless Hybrid Remote Control N8 for Nikon D300 / D200 / D700 / D3 / D3X

I recently purchased the Phottix Cleon Wired / Wireless Hybrid Remote Control N8 for Nikon D300 / D200 / D700 / D3 / D3X, which is featured on the D300 Lounge website. I could not be more pleased. I purchased the very expensive Nikon version and quite frankly it does not work nearly as well. I highly suggest this device and at the cost, you really can't go wrong.

Just got my Nikkor 50mm 1.8 yesterday, down with gall stones so can't get out shooting but here a couple I shot at home yesterday with it. So far love the Tokina 11 - 16mm f2.8 really recommend it.
if you're on a budget, then the Nikon 50mm 1.8 ($130) is a good choice. I use it for portraits and for indoor basketball games where the lighting is notoriously bad. The 50mm 1.2 gathers twice as much light, but it's $400. I'ld like to get the 35m...

If I'm taking a photo of 150 people sitting on bleachers (staff photo for a high school), how do I make sure the people in the front and back are all in focus?
